What to do in the event of an accident

  • Please consider the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • If someone has been injured, dial 111.
  • If your vehicle needs to be towed, please phone a local tow company
  • Arrange for your vehicle to be taken to a panel beater for assessment

Information to gather at the scene

  • Date and time
  • Location of event
  • Name, contact details and address of all drivers involved
  • Other party’s details, including make, model and registration details
  • Take photos if you are able

  • Simply say you will lodge a claim with your insurer
  • If you suspect theft or intentional damage, report it to the police. The police will issue you with an incident report number.

If you have damaged your windscreen and the cover on your vehicle includes a windscreen extension, follow these steps to make your repair as seamless as possible.

 

What to do if your windscreen is damaged?

  • First, get in touch with your glass repairer.
  • Provide them with the name of your insurance company and policy number.
    If you don’t know your policy number, please contact the team at Malcolm Flowers Insurances.
  • The glass repair company will take care of the rest and will coordinate directly with your insurer.

  • Proof of ownership (regarding contents claims) Such as receipts, instruction manuals, warranty cards and the like.
